The M-Lab is a professionally managed joint project of the HSG
(University of St. Gallen) and the ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal
Institute of Technology). The core team is comprised of 5-8
companies with 6 PhD students and 2 professors (Elgar Fleisch and
Friedemann Mattern) from the fields of computer science and business
management who work on specific company-related problems and general
issues associated with ubiquitous computing. The M-Lab is a very cost-efficient means of harnessing the innovative power of ubiquitous computing for business as an "early mover". The M-Lab is rooted in international science and business, has a local presence, cooperates globally with the best institutions in the field of ubiquitous computing and combines the business (HSG) and technical (ETH) points of view. |
