Abstract
Is growth ultimately fully endogenous or semi-endogenous? A quarter-century of theoretical and empirical growth theory has still kept both possibilities open. I argue that the semi-endogenous and fully endogenous growth components are both essential to the real growth mechanism. This paper shows that, as a consequence, the long-run growth rate will follow semi-endogenous growth predictions.
