Abstract
An increasing number of public authorities are turning to Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications for help. Since addressing social problems is a vital government function, realising the potential of AI in the social welfare domain could produce major social gains. Nevertheless, the use of AI systems in this domain does not come without its challenges. In this blog post, we discuss the main concerns raised by AI-driven social welfare and point out possible mitigation measures to counter these concerns.
