Item Type | Case Study |
Abstract | The case focuses on the main advantages of using blockchain technology and questions whether the promise of the technology is realized. Adopting blockchain in the mortgage industry can greatly reduce the costs and timeframes thus creating added value for all involved: both the issuers and buyers of mortgages. The switch to electronic mortgages had to be smooth, utilizing the same interfaces and terms of registration. The case provides a detailed sequence of events, starting with the idea, progressing to the pilot project, and finally describing some of the final outcomes. |
