Karolin Frankenberger is head of the competence center Business Model Innovation at the chair of innovation at the University of St. Gallen.

Business models and business model innovation
Dr. Frankenberger has worked as a consultant for 6.5 years for McKinsey & Company in the Munich and Zurich office. She was supporting various clients primarily in the high tech, logistics and automotive industry in areas such as business model innovation, corporate development/product strategies, emerging markets, turnaround management/efficiency improvement, Sales and Pricing. She was also leading the Venture 2010 competition, a cooperation between McKinsey & Company Switzerland, ETH, and CTI.

At the university, Dr. Frankenberger teaches business model innovation in Bachelor and EMBA programs.
In 2003 she was visiting PhD student at the Business School of the University of Connecticut (USA), in 2004 she was visiting PhD student at the Harvard Business School (USA).
