main focuses Florian Überbacher conducts research in the areas of organization theory, strategy, and entrepreneurship. He focuses on the strategic actions through which leaders seek to gain control over the external environment of their organization and on the consequences of such activities for the organization and its stakeholders. He studies, for instance, how entrepreneurs engage in symbolic/impression management to gain approval and resources from investors, how corporate leaders seek to influence the decisions of regulatory agencies, or how political leaders handle institutional conflicts.
