Monitoring the Business Value of Business Intelligence Systems

In the area of business intelligence (BI), determining the value contribution of a system to an organization's performance is not an easy task. In contrast to the costs, the influence of such analytical systems on the organization's overall performance is hard to determine. Thus the main aim of the described dissertation project is to identify dimensions, i.e. factors that influence and conceptualize the business value of BI systems and design a business value monitoring system for BI information systems.
