Abstract (Fr)
The paper argues for two claims:1) Unlike the dominant view, global vaccine equity requires to give priority to rich countries where the need is the most and only later to most African countries where the need is the less. 2) The situation on the ground should be the most important factor in designing public health priorities and policies in Africa. In many African countries, the Covid-19 Vaccine should simply not be the priority and there should be a push to maintain on top of the international as well as national health agendas diseases far more lethal than Covid-19 such as malaria and AIDS.
