Abstract
Although research on corruption has increased steadily during the last years, there is still little known about the circumstances as well as the persons involved in corruption incidents. This paper aims to investigate first to what extent individuals in Switzerland have become victims as well as offenders of corruption. Second, the characteristics of these incidents will be evaluated in detail in order to analyse the circumstances of corruption incidents. Data are retrieved from the most recent sweep of the International Crime Victimization Survey (ICVS) conducted in Switzerland in the year 2015 as well as compared to ICVS-data from previous sweeps.
