Abstract
This essay summarizes my long-term research on the environmental impact of shooting in Switzerland. Within this research, I explore how various agents (shooting clubs, traditional marksmen festivals, the military, politicians, architects, etc.) contribute to the contamination of Swiss landscapes through the usage and acceptance of toxic heavy metal bullets. Thereby I’m especially interested in the various forms of architectural and infrastructural systems in place that hide, displace and defer the severe environmental and epidemiological consequences of these poisonous projectiles.
