Abstract
Process-oriented information logistics is proposed as a new paradigm aimed at supporting and improving the execution of an organizations operational processes by embedding analytic information and/or analysis capabilities into the context of process execution. The paper describes empirical research providing substantial evidence that organizations can realize benefits by adopting the concept. It furthermore provides insight into the dominant design factors and distinct realization approaches of process-oriented information logistics. This kind of information is particularly useful for the engineering of situational methods aimed at the implementation and advancement of the concept within real-world organizations.
