Description
Corporate venture capital has increased its prominence in corporate innovation contexts as well as in start-ups' perception of attractive capital sources. For corporate investors CVC is one aspect of new technology sourcing within the multiple attempts to gain competitive advantage in mature but also in new markets. So far, it is not well understood how CVC activities complement innovation activities of technology firms. This will be retraced and analyzed in this project.
The project aims to find empirical evidence on the role of CVC initiatives in the corporate innovation setting. This will help corporates to better understand and organize their CVC attempts and start-ups to decide along the motives and intentions of CVC investors.
