Description
The WISE project aims to support and promote women social entrepreneurs in Europe through developing training and networking tools for them. The study of female social entrepreneurs is a nascent field and even though obstacles for these entrepreneurs to create and develop enterprise have been examined, their specific needs are under-researched. WISE investigates the needs of these entrepreneurs and develops interactive training modules as well as an online networking platform for them.
WISE is run by a consortium of organizations from five European countries. The partners are ESADE (Barcelona, Spain), ESA (Crete, Greece), HUB Zagreb (Zagreb, Croatia), DESA (Dubrovnik, Croatia), Freims OG (Vienna, Austria) and HSG/OPSY (St. Gallen, Switzerland). WISE is funded by the Lifelong Learning Program of the European Union.
Project coordinator of WISE is Kim Poldner in collaboration with Chris Steyaert and Julia Nentwich.
