Christian Mayer

former positions Christian Mayer is a name partner of Starlinger Mayer attorneys-at-law.
Christian advises national and international clients on Austrian and
international competition law, merger control, energy law and
compliance. He also specializes in dispute resolution (in particular
competition and energy related arbitration). He has repeadetly been
ranked amongst Austria’s top competition lawyers (up and coming).
After graduating from the University of Vienna, Christian started his
career as an associate with a renowned Austrian business law firm. From
2006 to 2009, he was a research associate with the Institute for
European and International Business Law at the University of St.Gallen
HSG (Chair Prof. Baudenbacher). After returning to Austria, he first
joined Dorda Brugger Jordis attorneys-at-law as an associate and, from
2013 to 2015, headed the competition law department of Fiebinger Polak
Leon attorneys-at-law. Christian is lecturer on antitrust and energy law
with the Executive M.B.L.-HSG in Austin, Texas, and chairman of the
program’s competition law module in Brussels. Since 2011, he has also
been university lecturer with the University of St.Gallen HSG (European
Competition Law).
