Hivesurf Prototyp (Wireless Sensor Networks)

Thomas Nicolai, David Merrill, Roman Hoegg, Florian Resatsch & Lars Kirchhoff

abstract This project has the main objective to bring togehter various people out of the 3 design discipline's graphical design, technical design and communicational design. he first ideas about the hivesurf project did come up at the Summer School for Wireless Sensor Networks 2005 (WSN) [4] in Dagstuhl Germany on small walking tracks between the vineyards close to the german - french border. It was the passion and dedication to the sport of surfing that brought us together. We thought about ways to fuse surfing and the world of ubiquitous computing and in particular, wireless sensor networks. Therefore this project seeks new and creative ways not only to bring these things into the world of business in fact it tries to explore new applications and connect people in the broad area of media science and all their surounding design disciplines.
