The core team is comprised of 5-8 companies with 6 PhD students and 2 professors (Elgar Fleisch and Friedemann Mattern) from the fields of computer science and business management who work on specific company-related problems and general issues associated with ubiquitous computing. The M-Lab is a very cost-efficient means of harnessing the innovative power of ubiquitous computing for business as an "early mover".
