The Kuehne-Institute for Logistics at the University St.Gallen and the
management consultant company Arthur D. Little are cooperating in an
international benchmarking study. The primary research goal is to
analyze, which performance parameters are essential for a high efficiency
purchasing organisation in big and middle size companies of different
industries. The Purchasing Performance Excellence-Index (PPE-Index) forms
the centre of the survey. Vital performance parameters for quality and
efficiency are surveyed and compared with competitors. Due to the results
it is possible to develop best practice performance profiles for
state-of-the-art purchasing organizations.
