Abstract (De)
The topics in apocalypse movies - natural disasters, epicemics and nuclear self- destruction - remain the same during long times. This disproves the thesis that they are representations of latent present fears. The author of the essay claims that apocalypse movies are fictive constructs which visualize things that are not think- able. They transcend what the philosopher Günther Anders called «blindness of apocalypses».
