Findings: The fractal dimensionality of an organization normally lies in the range of 2.2-2.3, if it is optimal.
Research limitations/implications: The paper's limitations lie in the fact that it is not yet based on experimental evidence from real-world organizations.
Originality/value: The findings of this paper give valuable impetus to the methodology of organizing.
