Start Date
September 1, 2022
End Date
August 31, 2025
Description
The objective of this three-year research project is to improve our understanding of informal entrepreneurship in Indian slums. We contribute to research on how entrepreneurship and related economic activities can be strengthened in developing countries by better understanding the extent of informal entrepreneurship. The close collaboration between the Swiss (University of St. Gallen) and Indian (North-Eastern Hill University, Jawaharlal Nehru University) researchers as part of this project allows for a unique array of input concerning context specific knowledge, expertise on socioeconomic data obtainment and analysis as well as utilization of satellite data for entrepreneurship research.
