Practical challenges addressed:
- Companies are increasingly forced by the public and by shareholders to limit risk of supply shortages and to protect their name and brands by designing sustainability initiatives in their supply chains
- The success of these initiatives increasingly depends on suppliers who need to participate or run own initiatives in the same direction
- Different designs of collaborative sustainability initiatives are used today in supply chains with little knowledge about their impact (e.g. shadow labeling at product level, chain-of-custody)
