Description
Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) serve companies in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis to provide comprehensive manufacturing services from drug development through drug manufacturing to packaging, allowing pharmaceutical companies to focus on their core competencies.
The Institute for Supply Chain Management at the University of St. Gallen (ISCM-HSG) supports Vifor Pharma with its “Excel at CMO-Management” initiative, through which Vifor Pharma Group aims at optimizing their current management of contract manufacturing suppliers. On the way to an aligned CMO strategy with common standards and best practices processes ISCM-HSG and Vifor Pharma Group are creating corporate competence on the subject of CMO-Management. ISCM-HSG surveys industry experts from Vifor Pharma and third-parties on CMO-Management and identifies relevant best practices and trends in supply chain management to establish a sound knowledge base for the development of the Vifor Pharma Group CMO-strategy.
