Description
The project investigates the public value of financial intermediaries. The investigations rest on theoretical frameworks that have been tested in recent research projects of The Center for Leadership and Social Values of the University of St. Gallen carried out in cooperation with the German Federal Labor Agency, and the German Goethe Institute. Further insights are drawn from debates persistent in economic theory such as hedonic pricing and the empirical measurement of externalities. The goal of the project is to provide and test frameworks that allow both for theoretical discussions as well as managerial insides on the societal position of for profit organizations through the lense of public value theory. Deutsche Börse serves as important project partner offering knowledge and research insights of one of the leading organizers of capital markets in Europe.
