Abstract
The aim of this paper is to provide a synthesis of stakeholder management in terms of its underlying assumptions, roots, and practical implications for strategically managing stakeholder relationships. In the review, we also show why stakeholder management not only applies to business contexts, but also to nonprofit organizations.
