Abstract (De)
Despite repeated critiques and challenges regarding its content, process and societal role over more than sixty years, management education (ME) has shown to be quite resistant to many such calls for change. In reconsidering the current state of the sector and its evolving reality determined by contextual, economic, technological, societal and pedagogical change, among others, this chapter highlights the complex interactions among many of these trends. It concludes that change in ME is already happening, but that its exact nature will be determined both by the confluence of these many trends and dynamics, and by the way in which the central stakeholders of ME, namely the individuals and institutions that offer, accredit, regulate, support, and use ME, will respond to the opportunities that are emerging.
