Abstract
Il seme dell’uomo gives Ferreri the possibility to expand the scope of his cinema and to test its political potential to an unprecedented planetary dimension. Through the language of science fiction, subjects such as gendered violence, the struggle for reproductive power, and the commodification of life and nature are transposed from the historical setting of the Italian post-war economic growth to the time and the geography of the human species.
