Abstract
This study examined the impact of perceived longevity on individual wealth allocation in Singapore. A cross-sectional survey of 299 adults, recruited via convenience and snowball sampling, assessed the trade-offs between personal health investment, family support, and societal contribution. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression identified demographic patterns. Sixty-six percent reported incorporating life expectancy into financial planning, with consistent prioritization of health and family across age, income, and ethnicity. Strong public support was expressed for increased government investment in preventive care and cost containment. These findings suggest that longevity awareness substantially influences financial decision-making in aging, high-income societies.
