Abstract
The article discusses various reports published within this special issue which focuses on economic analyses of aspects of intellectual property rights on technological innovation and growth, including one by Bronwyn Hall on how the heterogeneous issuance of patents creates a variety of incentives and implications for innovators, one by Tetsugen Haruyama on how economic innovation can exist without technological innovation, and one by Luca Spinesi on the international dimensions of technological innovations in symmetrical countries.
