Abstract
The presentation commences with outlining the contours of the hitherto dominant paradigm in justice theory and says a few words on its relation to the arts. Subsequently, it delves into the question why this justice theory has recently come under attack and will then acquaint the listener with the currently emerging alternative in justice theory. The last part of the presentation argues that the arts can contribute to this new paradigm in justice theory by its special competencies in criticizing ossified societal structures and in reconciling members of society to new habits.
