Abstract
At the center of Strohhecker's and Groessler's contribution to this special issue is an experiment by which people's difficulties in implementing business strategies are examined. Social scientists would call it a ‘quasi-experiment' or ‘semi-experiment',
which denotes a research design in which the allocation of members to groups is
not randomized, and the independent variables are not manipulated by the researcher (Punch, 2005; Cooper and Schindler, 2011).
